Medical Administrative Assistant

UMA prepares students for entry level administrative positions and will also help students accelerate into entry level management level positions. Training includes understanding the coding used to identify and label medical conditions and procedures, application of customer service concepts and principles in providing quality care, how to keep healthcare offices running smoothly and preparation for CMAA certification with the nationally respected National Healthcare Association (NHA).

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

Our program teaches students how to complete, process and maintain the millions of health insurance claims that organizations and their patients file each year. Students learn the coding used to identify and label medical conditions and procedures and how to use medical billing software. UMA students graduate with a Diploma and are qualified to help ensure that insurance companies are billed and doctors and patients are appropriately reimbursed.
